The students of Class IX-E conducted a solemn and inspiring morning assembly on the occasion of Vijay Diwas (16 December). The assembly was organised on the theme “Honouring Our Heroes: Lessons from History – Vijay Diwas (India)”, with the aim of commemorating India’s historic victory in the 1971 Indo Pak War and paying tribute to the brave soldiers of our armed forces.
The assembly was conducted under the guidance of the class teacher, Ms. Niti Sharma. The programme began with a prayer followed by the National Anthem, invoking a spirit of patriotism and discipline among the students. This was followed by the presentation of the Hindi date, the Thought of the Day, and National, International, Sports, and Weather News, which added structure and informative value to the assembly.
Presentation No. 1 – A Skit titled “1971: The War That Made Bangladesh” was presented by the students. The skit powerfully enacted the struggles, bravery, and supreme sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the 1971 war. The act effectively conveyed the message of patriotism, unity, and responsibility, leaving a deep impact on the audience.
Presentation No. 2 – Homage Dance was performed by the students, beautifully depicting the bravery and valour of the courageous martyrs and paying heartfelt tribute to them.
Presentation No. 3 – A Poem Recitation expressed the significance of Vijay Diwas and highlighted the valour of brave soldiers in emotionally rich words.
Presentation No. 4 – A Patriotic Song filled the atmosphere with a strong sense of national pride. The soulful rendition inspired everyone present and reinforced the message of courage, sacrifice, and dedication of India’s armed forces.
The assembly concluded with an address by Ms. Niti Sharma, who highlighted the historical importance of Vijay Diwas and emphasised that the sacrifices made by our soldiers inspire us to live with discipline, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility towards the nation. She appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them to remain patriotic, respect the armed forces, and contribute positively to society.
Overall, the morning assembly was well organised, informative, and inspiring. It effectively conveyed the spirit of Vijay Diwas and reinforced the values of courage, unity, and national pride among the students. The students also took an oath to maintain the honour of the country and become responsible citizens.
